Breast Thermography is the scanning of breasts with infrared imaging, producing a “thermogram”. This type of scan detects heat, not a lump, which is then analyzed and rated to determine the risk of developing breast cancer.

Breast tumors can have abnormal blood vessel patterns and increased metabolic activity that can give off more heat than the surrounding tissue. Heat changes can occur between 6 to 10 years before a tumor is big enough to see on a mammogram!
